Kensington Gardens

Kensington Gardens

Just a four minute walk from the Park Avenue Craven Inn Hotel, the regal Kensington Gardens spreads majestically over 265 acres and boasts a more landscaped, formal aesthetic than its neighbouring Hyde Park. That’s not to say there’s no connection between the two beautiful parks, Kensington Gardens was once part of its big sister royal park until it was cordoned off as a private garden for Queen Caroline in 1728.

Separated from Hyde Park by the Serpentine Lake, built specifically as a boundary between the two, Kensington Gardens boasts a wealth of attractions including the magnificent Italian Sunken Gardens, Prince Albert Memorial and Serpentine Galleries to name just a few. On top of this, the park is within walking distance from Kensington Palace, the Royal Albert Hall and Exhibition Row, where three of London’s most popular museums wait for guests of Craven hotel deals Paddington London. Visitors staying at hotels near Paddington London will find easy access to the park via Lancaster Gate Underground station. The park is open from 6am daily, but closing times differ throughout the year due to the many events that take place here throughout the year.
